RATIONALE: In celebration of the OAR Year of Vocation 2008, the Province entrust to the young people of the Philippines the OAR Youth Cross. The cross as the symbol of Christ’s love for the young people will visit all the Recollect communities (OAR&AR) throughout the year to deliver peace, hope and unity. The youth will come together and journey with the cross and walk with Christ in discipleship. The youth cross will serve as an opportunity for the youth to encounter Christ personally and celebrate their faith. OBJECTIVES • To celebrate the year of vocation of the Order of Augustinian Recollects. • To promote priestly and religious OAR vocations. • To guide and encourage the youth to participate actively in different religious activities. • To make the youth appreciate the true meaning of the cross as a symbol of our redemption brought by Christ. • To provide opportunities for the youth to celebrate the Year of Vocations: praying together, learning together, working together and having fun together in faith, hope and love.   | Photos | |
